A 41-year-old man was charged with the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old Madison Heights man at a Detroit strip club in April, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office announced today.

Wayne Seals, of Washington Township, faces charges of second-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, assault with intent to murder and felony firearm in the April 7 death of Christopher Rice. Seals is expected to be arraigned today, the prosecutor’s office said.

According to prosecutors, Seals, a bouncer at Cheetah’s Lounge on 8 Mile Road, had an altercation with Rice’s friend inside of the bar. Rice got into the driver’s seat of his car, and Seals allegedly fired shots. Rice suffered multiple gunshots, according to the prosecutor’s office.
