DETROIT (AP) — Authorities say fire crews in Detroit have responded to a string of at least 10 building fires on the city’s east side.

TV stations WXYZ and WDIV report arson was a possibility in the early Monday blazes. In one place, a fire burned several homes and a building used as a church.

One firefighter was reportedly injured, but details weren’t immediately available.

A fire official says it’s been a long and hectic night for firefighters. At one point, when they responded to a fire involving two buildings, another blaze started nearby.
