Since 1886, the Children’s Hospital of Michigan has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to children and adolescents in a caring, efficient and family-centered environment. A proud member of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), the Children’s Hospital of Michigan is the first and most experienced pediatric specialty hospital in the state.

Staffed by more than 2,000 employees, the Children's Hospital of Michgan has 340 physicians, 125 pediatric specialists, 513 pediatric-trained nurses; more Michigan pediatricians are trained at Children's Hospital than at any other hospital in the state.

Children's Hospital of Michigan is specifically designed to cater to pediatric patients, from our kid-friendly emergency room that treats nearly 95,000 children each year, to our inpatient facilities with features created just for children, to provide them with comfortable surroundings. With playrooms, activity centers, computer labs, and classrooms our facility makes a child's temporary transition from home to hospital easy with our remarkable attention to detail.
