Ameinu Detroit

As Zionists, we understand that securing peace between Israel and its neighbors is essential to the survival of a democratic Jewish state. Ameinu envisions an Israel that is committed to religious pluralism and social and economic justice for all. Ameinu supports efforts to negotiate a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Ameinu's political agenda addresses a range of domestic and international issues, including protection of the environment, support for universal healthcare, preservation of civil liberties, and the ending of foreign and domestic sweatshops. Ameinu promotes its agenda through advocacy and educational programming. Our commitment to Jewish continuity motivates us to support and work with our youth movement, Habonim Dror. We provide assistance for students to attend summer camp, especially Camp Tavor in Three Rivers, Mich., and to participate in lengthy study programs in Israel. Our alumni become knowledgeable, committed leaders participating in Jewish and American life.
